Photo Challenge #28: BIG and small

Big and Small...

  1. Very thought-provoking. Interesting background. Though the cross might be small, it definitely represents something larger than all of us.

  2. Hi Josh! I really love the concept of this image! but I think it could have been cropped better. I'm not sure I like how the top of the cross is cut off...and how it doesn't seem to be completely straight.... The cropping at the top bothers me because no other part of the cross is cropped. So it just looks awkward. I really really love that we can see the setting sun in the background. It lends a sense of warmth and perhaps even hope to an otherwise cool photo (cool as in cool colours). It was a strong choice to have the cross over on the side instead of in the middle of the image.

  3. The background is great on this pic! I agree with Diana about the cross positioning and the missing top of the cross.

  4. Great! One thing--maybe make the cross completely straight in the photo, or make it more tilted... Maybe its the cropping thing that is bothering me about it too...

  5. Heyu Josh. I think it was a great choice not to center it but to put it off to the side. It makes the photo more interesting that way. I think my illustrious sister (chocolate_hug) is right about the cross being cut off. You could have cropped it very close to the top but still had an edge and the photo would have been a bit stronger. I love the sun through the trees behind the cross. Very spiritual sort of effect and it fits well.

I missed McLinky this week, but I did post my challenge responce. :P
